BECKET ARTS CENTER 2025 SEASON ARTIST AGREEMENT
Artist agrees to display his or her art work at an exhibit at the Becket Arts Center gallery at 7 Brooker Hill Road, Becket, MA from May 2 to May 25, and BAC agrees to provide the gallery for such display. The exhibit will be open to the public on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12-4. The display will close on May 25, and the Artist agrees to remove all of the remaining art by May 26.
The Artist also agrees to the following:
1. All artwork will be professionally presented and ready for hanging (wired appropriately for BAC hanging apparatus Walker System or placed on pedestals) in the gallery.
2. All artwork will be professionally installed by BAC’s Exhibitions Curator.
3. The Artist is responsible for delivery of the artwork to the gallery and pick-up of the artwork after the exhibit closes.
4. Sculpture stands will be available for use by the Artist. Visits to the gallery to view the space and display system prior to the set-up date may be arranged by contacting the BAC office, or the Exhibition Curator at exhibits@becketartscenter.org
5. The Artist is responsible for mailing announcements of the exhibit to his or her own mailing lists.
6. The Artist hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless BAC from any and all liability arising from or out of the loss or damage of his or her artwork from any cause whatsoever while it is in the possession of, or is located on the premises of BAC. While BAC will use its best efforts to maintain the security of the gallery, the Artist agrees that his or her artworks are exhibited at the Artist’s own risk.
7. The Artist agrees that all artwork displayed at BAC will be offered for sale through the BAC.
8. The parties agree that the proceeds from any sale resulting from the exhibit will be shared with 25% of the proceeds going to BAC and the balance of 75% to the artist.
9. The Artist understands that commissions are paid monthly according to sale date. If your show spans across more than one month, any commission due is paid during the month following the sale.
