I created a series of mosaics 'Exploration of the Grid' with mosaics roughly 10" x 10" on a handmade substrate of 12 1/2" square. The mesh is visible on the edges to add to the grid effect. I restricted materials to vitreous glass, stained glass, unglazed porcelain, broken pottery and contorno. This addition to the series, SPRING emphasizes grout joints and different colors of grout between the mosaic glass.
