Impeachment

I made this mosaic during the first impeachment trial of Donald Trump. In need of a brighter focus, I sought out bold shades of color and rich textures. This mosaic evolved from collected ceramic pieces which I hand cut for the central elements. To highlight those pieces, I used smalti, mirror glass, and and assorted porcelain. Balance, flow, and continuity are the qualities which guide my choices of placement, shape, and subtle repetition. It took me far from the current events of the time.
